Conductivity across the copper surface does not by itself establish electrical continuity through the adhesive layer. Where through-adhesive continuity is required, confirm the specific construction before specifying the tape.
Depending on the tape construction, copper foil tape may be evaluated for grounding, shielding or conductive surface connections in an electrical assembly. Selection starts with the intended electrical path, the surfaces being joined and how the tape will be installed.
